Pros: Cheap and handy for making copies with also.

A good machine for the occasional user, cartridges seem to go very fast if you use regularly. Easy to use and copier is used often.

We use the Brother Intellifax 775 at home because it was given to us as a gift. It is your standard plain paper fax and it is pretty much plug it into the wall when we need it type of fax machine. We don't use it often because:

A) we only need to send faxes maybe once a week or so
B) you can fax/copy something between 75-100 times before the cartridge needs to be replaced.

I believe that 75 is the suggested number of uses/cartridge. but you can take out the cartridge and roll it back and use it again and I have found no adverse reaction to doing so. I was tired of replacing the cartridge :)

For this to be a very functional model they should really redesign the phone and make it cordless or something. The cord is about long enough for you to bring it to your ear and that is about it. Standing up from your desk or moving very far with the phone in hand will send it chasing after you.

We use this fax machine more as a copier than a fax, but it still is handy and cheap for those who would like a fax at home for occasional usage. This unit will drive you crazy replacing the cartridges if you try using it for anything other than occasional usage. A good machine, we haven't had any problems to speak of so far.
