Pros: Ease of use, longevity of carbon refill cartridge.
Cons: Won't keep up with a high volumn office.
The Bottom Line:
For an in home fax that is easy to use and understand this is the model for me.
When I started a small business out of my home, I knew that one of my first purchases would have to be a fax machine. It is almost impossible to do business today without one.
I knew that I did not need a mutifunctional machine like at my office at work, but wanted something simpler for my home office. The Brother Intellifax 775 fits the bill perfectly.
The Brother is a simple to use plain paper fax which can also be used as a copier. I guess that technically this can classify it as multifunctional, but my fax at work is my printer as well.
The fax paper well holds about 100 sheets of paper which last me about a week which is great. It is a pain to run out of paper on a fax coming in at night and not have the complete copy when I come in in the morning.
I have found paper jams to be infrequent, and easy to fix.
The brother is pretty straight forward. The buttons are clearly labeled and make logical sense to anyone who has been around office equipment before. The manual is easy to read and understand, and made programming the Intellifax quite easy.
The carbon refill is a little tricky to install, but I think that that will become easier after a few tries. I have only replaced one so far, and I receive about 4 or 5 fax pages a day.
Using the Brother as a copier is straight forward also.
I have been pleased so far with the use I have gotten from the Brother Intellifax 775. If I need to move up to a more sophisticated machine, I will definitely research another Brother model.
