Great Headset

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Comfortable LOUD Works as advertised Uses a cradle for charging

Cons: Button placement a bit awkward Uses a cradle for charging

The Bottom Line:
Its obvious why Jabra sold a ton of these headsets. It works great. Don't bother with the BT-500.

After selling my perfectly functional, but not loud enough Motorola headset I was on a quest. I needed something that would work in a loud environment and stay clipped to my head very well.

Needless to say all those small, stylish headsets didn't fit the bill. When I saw that the BT250 could actually go into the ear, I decided to give it a try.

Pairing the phone to my RAZR was a piece of cake. The connection was stable. The sound was great. But most exciting of all, IT WAS LOUD. I could hear people in my fairly loud car with the volume set at 2 of 8. Fantastic!!

The controls are a little difficult to reach. But once dialed in, you don't need them much. The headset requires a cradle for charging. That is a double edged sword. It takes up space. But I could see mounting the cradle to your car interior with some double sided tape. Then the headset can sit charging, out of the way.

I ended up getting rid of this headset because the BT500 just came out. I thought that since it used a USB connector for charging I could use the car adapter from my RAZR. That turned out to be correct. Had I kept the BT250 I would have been perfectly happy.

One comment re the 250 vs 500. The 250 is a little thicker and therefore stays put on your ear better. The 500's buttons are arranged better. Overall, if I was in the market now for a headset, I'd save my money and get the less expensive BT250
