Finally a GREAT kettle

I have struggled with kettle burnouts and flaws for years. Finally I have found a kettle I am happy with in every way. This kettle adds aesthetically to my kitchen, with it's quality construction and materials and pleasing light blue incidental functions.

It boils fast enough, has a very pleasant, maybe even delightful bell that signals when the water is done, and I have not noticed that it invites burns. The handle is super comfortable. The bottom is recessed so that the connection between the base and the kettle will not rust out. I noticed a bit of a new rubber taste to the water initially, but as the previous reviewer stated, it goes away very quickly. It is really FUN to use. The upper window adds interest to the process.

And get this: THEY USE a very heavy RECYCLED PAPER PRODUCT FOR PACKAGING. The kettle was cushioned with a heavy molded cardboard..no styrofoam. I was able to reuse and recycle everything but the kettle itself. What a great feeling!

I would love to see more reviews on the internet that rated manufacturers partially based on their standards for packaging their appliances. It tipped me off to the fact that I was dealing with a company who cared about the world they were sending this kettle into. Bravo~!
