I recently purchased the 7680 model after years of owning a Braun (older model) basically because I was always told Braun was the closest shave.
After my first use of this shaver, I was amazed I got such a close shave without using a razor. It was so close, I didn't have stubble for an entire day! Never happened before.
The initial set up instructions are a little difficult to follow if you are not familiar with such a technical device (as it does require a certain initial setup, charge, test, clean, charge etc.) so you need to follow closely or you will end up with a $200+ shaver that has limited charging memory.
Otherwise, very close shave, very easy to use and maintain. I have used other shavers before such as the 3 blade rotary system and the closeness and comfort do not compare.
