The foil screen 'tore' after only four uses.

Author's Rating: Rating: 3/5 stars

Pros: In my case, I got it REALLY cheap. Decent shave for it's intended use.

Cons: Lasted only four uses.

The Bottom Line:
A decent, inexpensive that obviously served other reviewers / users better than it did me. Possibly the foil screen on the one I bought was from a "bad manufacturing batch"?

While I agree in general, with the content and description of the five previous / pre-existing reviews that precede this one, I have to comment on the quality of the screen. I prefer using a blade but picked up the PocketGo 370 from a 'clearance' cart at Walgreen's for only $5.00, figuring that even if it turned out to NOT be a decent "back-up" shaver, that I would only be out five bucks. On those mornings that I run late, or on the extremely rare occasion that I travel, this razor was used sparingly. The fifth time that I put it to use, I noticed that the shaving process didn't feel the same as it had in the past. There was a rough 'scratching' to it, and the more that I ran the 370 across my jawbone, the scratching turned to a more abrasive cutting feel. I looked at the shaving head and noticed that the approximately 3/16" wide solid thin metal edge on one side of the screen foil, was torn upwards (i.e., sticking up) by almost a half-inch. That put an end to this shaving session.

Thinking that there might be a replacement foil/screen, I went online to Braun's web-site and noticed that the only replacement parts for this model are: a.) the little convenient cleaning brush that fits 'niftily' and tight in the molded indentation at the base of the razor; and b.) the "shaving block" [the multiple blades lined up in a row that actually do the cutting as it is vibrated?].

So, just something to think about if you're going to pay full retail for this shaver -- which actually STILL isn't much when compared to most other electric and/or battery-operated models regardless of who the manufacturer is. In this case, each of the four shaves that I got out of it cost me $1.25 each.
