Pros: powerful machine that will last hold up to kids and do most kitchen jobs

Cons: A little heavy for kids to lift-doesn't make soup

I bought this 5 years ago because we kept having problems with our K-tec and I didn't want to replace the blender part for a 2nd or third time.

We went to a store to check out a DXL because that is what we were interested in buying. After a Demo with the DXL and the Bosch Comfort Plus we ended up with the Comfort plus.

Description
The comfort plus is grey with black knobs. It's similar to the original bosch except that it does have 2 knobs. One knob has 4 speeds(slow, medium fast, fast and quick break-which is like a pulsating type speed)

The other knob is a timer. It has a 12 minute timer so you can kneed it for a certain amount of time or use the timer for other things.

we bought our comfort plus with a standard white mixing bowl with dough hook and mixing paddles, a blender a small mixing bowl with two kinds of mixing paddles, and a second small bowl with 3 different blades- 2 for slicing and grating, 1 for french fry cut. With this set up we are able to make smoothies, slushies, nut butters.

We can grate or slice veggies, fruit and cheese. Make fries.

We make bread, mashed potatoes, cakes, cookies etc.

We have since bought cookie dough paddles for cookies and mixing up hamburger.
We have also bought the meat grinder attachment to make "wheat meat".

In 6 months we ended up using this machine more than we did our K-tec in 5 years. It was incredibly easy to use. My kids can use it. We have had to replace a couple of small items over the years (do to mis use) They were very inexpensive to replace. We have had very little problems with this machine.

We use the blender for making icees, peanut butter etc. We use the mixing bowl for making bread for a family of 6 (now 7). I'm able to make large batches of cookie dough.

Our comfort plus came with the standard white bowl instead of the Stainless steal bowl.

The base is sturdy and the motor of this machine is more powerful than the original bosch and has held up well. It has never "walked" off the counter even when we have over loaded it.

It's the main appliance in our home that gets used on a regular basis and doesn't collect dust. Our children are able to use it and I don't have to worry about it breaking.

This will be the last mixing-kitchen appliance you will need.

Okay so it doesn't make soup but it sure does most jobs that need doing.
