Boggle CD-ROM is a faithfully computerized and expanded version of the board (cube?) game, enhanced with new variations on the basic theme of spelling words from a random assortment of cubes with different letters on each face and expanded to allow multiple players to battle each other across networks. Boggle 101: You and one or more of your literate friends stare at a 4x4 or 5x5 matrix of letter cubes. You all spend the next two minutes ferreting out and writing down what long and hopefully hard-to-find words can be spelled legally from the letters in the grid. To spell a word legally, you must by able to place a mental finger on its first letter and move your finger through the grid, traversing the letters that make up the word in order, and always moving from one letter to another that is adjacent to it, either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. After a couple of minutes of spelling words, all players stop and compare their lists, crossing out any words that appear on more than one p

Five fun filled games

Pros: Nothing but fun!
Cons: none
Recently my computer took a nose dive and crashed on me. So I had to reformat and lost all of the games I have had stored on here forever! One of the games I lost was a game similiar to Boggle. I loved that game and will miss it.
The other day while shopping at Wal-Mart we were looking at the games section in the computer department. I had not intended on buying anything that day, but came across the Boggle game and was surprised at how cheap it was. For $5.00 This game had five games on it. Thinking of how much I had missed playing the other word game, I decided to buy it and see if it would replace the lost game.
When I got home that day, I installed it right into my computer. Installation was a breeze and I was off to play the game. Which one should I play first I wondered? I went for the first one and tried out the Classic Boggle. You have a time period in which to create as many words as you can inside the grid of jumbled letters. You can play by yourself or up to three opponent's. (Computer or real) At the end your score is totaled and if high enough will be added to the high score list. The longer the word the better the score you will get.
The next game is called Breakaway-Boggle. Using a multi-dimensional cube of rotating letters, you make words out of them and "break away" the cube. Once you run out of words to make your game is over.
Battle Boggle is a head to head 2 player version of Boggle where opponents play against one another on the same grid at the same time. You have five minutes to place your letters in the empty battle grid.Once you placed enough letters you can start forming words in the classic Boggle fashion. (I haven't played this one too well yet.)
In Space Boggle you see a steady stream of letters coming at you and you must form words out of them before they leave the screen. They do not have to be touching in any way like the other Boggle games.
And then my favorite one, is called In Your Face Boggle. A grid of letters, many layers deep, is rising toward you from the bottom of a well. Click on letters to form words and clear a layer of letters. Keep chiseling away, as the moment the final layer is "In your face" and means that is the end of the game. I have been playing this one endlessly! It's a lot of fun.
The games are all pretty simple to play, and you can even play online with opponents. It is made by Hasbro, and I feel I got my $5.00 worth in this game.
