The Blue Man Group are an unlikely pop culture sensation -- a trio of bald man wearing blue face paint who deftly experiment with a multimedia environment. Somehow though, the blue men have managed to capture the hearts and imaginations of the American public, and their stage show has thrived for several years. THE COMPLEX ROCK TOUR LIVE presents two live performances by the group, filed at Next Stage Amphitheatre in Grand Prairie, Texas. In addition to interviews with group, this program features participation by Dave Matthews, of The Dave Matthews Band, and Gavin Rossdale, of Bush.

Pros: A visually stunning and powerful musical performance
Cons: Dave Matthews not in this performance though he's on the original CD.
If you are not familiar with The Blue Man Group, you must visit their web site at http://www.blueman.com. With painted blue heads and using only their bodies and eyes to express themselves, they bring out a range of emotions as they perform like modern day mimes. You will laugh throughout your viewing of this performance DVD.
The Blue Man Group Complex Rock Tour is just what it says, it is a DVD of their state of the art Rock show which captures the mood and music of their CD called The Complex.
Their music is rock, techno, industrial and rave oriented and it is loud and raucous. They play a variety of instruments that they invented, mostly from PVC piping and backed by an explosive band with multi-guitarists and drummers/percussionists. The Complex Rock Tour is not totally instrumental as was their original show called Tubes and their earlier CD titled Audio. Guest vocalist on this DVD is Traci Bonham and unfortunately Dave Matthews who sang on the original CD is missing from this from this
performance. One of the members of the band handles the vocal duties for the other songs.
