Pros: Excellent coffee! Unique design and can be kept warm for up to two hours.

Cons: The filter attachment can be dangerous and the pot is impossible to clean.

Definately buy if you live alone. Excellent coffee but dangerous and hard to clean.

I fell in love with the simplicity of the design of this pot when I was in the shop. It comes in clear, yellow and blue! Why anyone would want a pot in a color is beyond me, so I bought the clear one. The pot comes with a video which was very helpful (I don't usually watch these things). Now for making the coffee: It was a little unusual setting the pot up, but easy in the end. The coffee was excellent! I used the coffee made by Bodum as well and I would highly recommend it.
The disadvantages of this machine is that you really have to know what you are doing...it does not come naturally. So, if you have people or family who come and use the machine, you would have to give them instructions. The other big problem is I feel the top filter bowl can be dangerous when you remove it with the hot grounds in it and also when the bowl has the boiling water in it, children (or adults) can easily knock it off...very scary. The pot it impossible to clean since it has a fixed lip on the top which does not allow your hand to fit in and you cannot put it in the dishwasher because the element is attached to the bottom of the pot.
I am going to keep my pot! I love it!!! But...my husband and I are alone in the house and I am the only coffe drinker. Any visitors will be spoiled rotten by me with the best coffee I could give them on a home system.
