The 2003 BMW M-Series is the BMW performance line-up. Now, you may be saying that all BMW models are performance-oriented but the M-Series are the performance versions of the already sporty Beemer lines. The 2003 BMW M-Series is comprised of cars akin to those from the 3-Series and the 5-Series but these are on altogether different order of power, performance, quality and interior content.

2003 BMW M3 Cabriolet

Pros: Exhilirating performance, Taut handling - even the Cabriolet. SMG Tranny is HOT!!
Cons: Weak on creature comforts like garage door opener. Harmon Kardon Stereo weak also.
The Bottom Line:
Just test drive the car with the SMG transmission. You will feel like Michael Shumacher behind the wheel. Subtle styling hides the great performance too which is fun in itself.
Thinly disguised racing machine is a perfect description of this stealthy rocket ship. The SMG transmission is incredible - I want to put on a helmet when I get in the car for weekend fun. The car is solid as a rock which is rare in a cabriolet. The standard front strut brace that they added for 2003 improves the stability of the car. I opted for the 19" OEM wheels and haven't been disappointed.
I looked at all the options out there including the clk430 Mercedes, the Porsche ( both the 911 and the Boxster ), and the new lexus hardtop convertible. The M3 accelerates like the Porsche ( 4.8 secs to 60 mph in the coupe - slightly slower in the cab ) handles flawlessly and can truly handle four adults. I highly recommend this vehicle.
