The M5 continues into the new model year with only minor changes to the interior and exterior color choices. Discontinued exterior colors include Royal Red, Athracite, and Silverstone. Newly introduced colors include Chiaretto Red, Sterling Gray, and Blue Water. The M5 boasts a high-performance 394-hp V-8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. BMW track testing results in a zero-to-sixty time of 4.8 seconds, and a top speed of 155 MPH. Other performance features include variable-assist steering with M Driving Dynamics Control adjustment, M calibration suspension system, and a Dynamic Stability Control system. Standard luxury amenities include automatic climate control, a power glass moonroof, and a 12-speaker premium sound system.
