Great Car with a class of its own

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Great car, great power, great class.

Cons: Expensive to maintain.

The Bottom Line:
If you love class and speed and passenger capacity and have deep pockets, this is for you.

At that time 2001,2002, it was the fastest 4-door sedan in the world. The car performed wonderfully. The car is a sedan, pretty heavy (4000lb). Although this car is a wolf in a sheeps clothing, dont' think it is a sports car, that car take corners like a true sports car. The primary reason is because of the weight and higher center of gravity. With some after market suspension setup you maybe able to compete. Even then, the weight is a bit high.
But, as a stock car, for a sports-sedan it just beats everything in its class. 0-60 About 4.7-4.8 secs is good. There is a speed governor at 155mph. However once the engine software is updated, it can go all the way upto 185mph.

In a straight line you can pretty much keep up with most sports cars , except for the corvette z06 (which I guess is about 450hp and lighter). Anything about 400hp or below.

But this car is not about total speed. It's about speed with class. There are only very limited # of these around, and everytime I pull up to a hotel or party (specially with my unique exhaust sound) they love the car.

It is wise to leave the car stock. If you're planning to upgrade and boost the car, be prepared to spend a lot on maintenance and parts that will fail. Even with authorized performce tuning, some of the stock parts may fail in due course. If you have a stiffer suspension which rocks the car much, then many sensors and other stuffs may break loose or fail. I faced this and it's not cheap to fix things.

It's easy to buy one. But once the maintenance warranty runs out, make sure you have good pockets. Mostly with good maintenance, good driving and keeping it stock , there will be less issues. But to drive a car like this like a bently sedan is a shame. This car is made for performance, and should be used as such.
I had no problems until 40K miles, until I made some highly approved after market mods, and things started breaking loose.
