For 2001, the BMW 5 Series is available in five models: the new 525i Sedan and Wagon, the new 530i Sedan, and the 540i Sedan and Wagon. The 525 is a new base model and includes a 184-hp 2.5L in-line six engine. The new 530i sedan replaces last years 528i and includes a 225-hp 3.0L in-line six engine. The Dynamic Stability Control System is standard on all models. The 540i models include Rain Sensor Wipers, Xenon headlights, a power moonroof, and an automatic dimming inside mirror. The Sport Package is available on all models and includes the M-Sport steering wheel, performance tires, 17-inch alloy wheels, and sport suspension. The optional vehicle navigation system includes a trip computer, an Emergency Call System, and a Geographic Disc.

If your looking to spend a lot of money for a new car, the 2001 BMW 540i Sedan is a great choice. The car has so much to offer in Performance, Safety,Luxury, and Technology.
PERFORMANCE always is important because if the car doesn't run well, then why get it. 540i Sedan has everything you need to make it run well. Dynamic stability control, subframe construction, near 50/50 weight distribution, 4 wheel antilock brakes, dynamic brake control, adaptive transmission control, and all season traction.
SAFETY, you can't live without it. 540i Sedan has safety too. Automatic front safety belt tensioners, head protection system, xenon headlights, impact sensors, safety glass and door anchoring.
Luxury, this is all the things to keep you comfortable and make everything easy. Climate control system, leather upholstery, rain sensing winshield wipers, heated steering wheel, heated seats, auto dimming rear view mirror, remote keyless entry, park distance control, and micofilter ventilation system.
Technology gives you a dual threshold restraint system, coded driveaway protection, phone, head protection system, and on board navigation.
Most BMW's will have the same features like the 540i Sedan, but the engines are different. The 540i Sedan 4.4 liter V8 282 horsepower engine to make you fly.
