BMW 530iA is a perfect thing

Pros: A four-door sedan which drives like a much smaller sports car.
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line:
If you are a "spirited driver" who likes a car to connect with the road and who seeks perfection in things then this is the car for you.
If money and space were of no concern one might assemble a multi-car fleet of special purpose vehicles and each of them MIGHT be bit better than the 530i at one specific thing but they would much worse at many many other aspects of what a car must do and be. We have had our 530i for 5 months and have put on 3,800 miles of mostly local (Los Angeles) driving. It is an intuitive car--by which I mean that one simply gets in and drives, without need of reading the manual or watching the video, although the car comes with both. All the controls fall to hand as one would expect. The car is very adjustable and fits us both well even though one of us is 4' 10" and one is 5'10". We tried the 525i and found it to be a bit too under-powered and the brakes did not stop as well. We got the silver color and find that it stays clean a long time. The interior sun-screens were well worth the money. We have owned a lot of very fine cars including those from Porsche, Lexus and Mercedes but this is without question the best all-around one we have ever owned.
