Hey guys, i have owned this product for 8 months, the aw1206t, in a 1998 jeep cherokee. i bought four (4) of these off of e-bay for about 450$, thinking i got a good deal for 8000 watts of power. I was right... mostly.. I hooked them up in a custom 4 chamber 8 cub.ft box PORTED, each to their own Kenwood Excelon Kac-X811d mono 1600 watt amp. i ran each sub at about 1100 REAL watts for about 6 months with no problem. The music sounded good, the subs provided me with enough bass on rap songs, like Boyz in da hood (eazy E) which hit 156.1 DB at Sargent's Stereo. They also provided a meaty mid bass too, with poor highs (they are huge 12's what do you expect from a dual 4 ohlm 12 inch sub in a 8 cub. ported box...) The problem started when my master amp turned off after playing the subs for a while showing off to a kid with 2 13W7's (JL). It flashed E-03... I had them looked at, i blew my first sub, the voice coil shorted. Cant fix in my hometown of Bend, OR.. so i have to buy a new one. If you want HUGE bass FOR A WHILE, buy these!! but if you want more reliability, go with someone else like alpine, hifonics, JL audio, or Eclipse. Cheep, Huge, Flashy, LOUD, but not reliable after a while of murdering them.
