The first time I ever saw these guys was on a Pentium processor commercial. Little did I realize that they were actually a group. The moment I did, though, I went out and got the CD, and I was amazed with what I heard.
The Blue Man Group is basically a three man Stomp show, using everyday stuff to make wonderful and unique music. It is truly amazing to me that these guys came up with the idea of using PVC pipe as an instrument. The sound that you get is beyond description, but it sounds really neat. The CD is about an hour long, and has 14 tracks. Each track showcases a different instrument, or combines them to make a neat and unique sound. The CD does not have any lyrics, it is simply the Blue Man Group playing their instruments, so, if the CD were to be classified, i guess it would be a "sound" track. While some of the music can be repetitive, it still sounds good. The CD booklet shows all of the different instruments that the group uses. Some of the instruments look really cool, and others are outrageous.
After listening to this CD, I really want to see The Blue Man Group live, it has got to be awesome to see how they make this music.
I would recommend this CD to anyone, from the country fan to the heavy metal headbanger. This CD has something for everyone, and is truly enjoyable.
