Pros: So many different sounds! Very colorful!!

Cons: The CD can’t offer what the show can with in-your-face visuals

The Bottom Line:
Blue Man Group – Audio is an amazing look into a new world of music. www.blueman.com (the official site) has everything you might be looking for.

Author's Review
The CD Audio is only the beginning to the world of Blue Man Group. Once you start, you can't stop. Audio will show you that in a Blue Man’s world, you can have fun without one word. The Blue Men don’t speak like the human being; they have their own way of communication and that is through the PVC pipes and different, worldly drums they use to make their music. All of the music on Audio is tribal, yet modern.

The instruments used in all of Blue Man Group’s songs have such unique and charismatic sounds and looks, it’s hard to get away from it all. Not only do they use PVC plumbing pipes, but they also use fiberglass "airpoles", giant tom and bass drums, and Hungarian cimbaloms. The Blue Men use these instruments in such a way, no one would have thought.

How they make the music is the cool thing. They can take almost anything and make it into a musical instrument. Even if it is traditionally played one way, the Blue Men find new way to play it (e.g. The Hungarian Cimbalom is traditionally played with soft mallets, but the Blue Men play it aggressively with drum sticks). Totally awesome!

To get the full experience of Blue Man Group, go see the critically acclaimed show, buy the Grammy nominated CD, and let the Blue Men take you into their fun and exciting world.
