For the 2001 model year, the Audi A6 is available in four models: Base, 2.7 Turbo Sedan, 4.2 Sedan, and Avant Wagon. Except for some exterior color changes, all models receive very few changes from last years models. Standard features on all models include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, cruise control, and 12-way power driver and front passenger seats. All models are equipped with a six-function trip computer with a driver information display. Also included is a radio/telephone display and an outside temperature gauge. Available packages include a Celebration Luxury Package, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Guidance Package, and a Preferred Luxury Package. Xenon High Intensity Discharge Headlights are also available.

After over 130,000 miles, chipped the entire time, I still love this car. I bought it new and my wife and kids say I've had a "relationship" ever since. This car has bailed me out of stupid driving, horrible Colorado mtn. winters, and coddled me on long distance trips. I've changed the oil with synthetics every 3-5,000 miles and I've never had any sort of engine problems, despite very hard driving. I replaced the brakes at about 70,000 with slotted and drilled rotors and it stops quicker than any traffic in front, or behind me. The APR chip has not caused any premature turbo failures, or trouble, besides tickets, of any kind. My wife's been through 2 cars (Acura MDX and Yukon XL) compared to my one during the same time span. At nearly 11 years old and a worn out driver seat, I'm now considering the new A6 3.0T and A8. My wife's in favor of the A8 with the hope that it will slow me down. I'll miss my 2001 A6 2.7T.
