Pros: It really shreds what it advertises it will without sounding overworked.
Cons: Accompanying waste bin is small. Paper must be folded prior to shredding.
This compact little shredder gives old CD/DVDs, credit cards and paper a quick trip to puzzle-piece land without any effort at all.
If you're short on space and don't want to spend $500 on a heavy duty shredder, you should consider the Alera. The feeder opening is CD width so you have to fold paper in 1/2 lengthwise, but that only takes a quick second and is worth the effort rather than fooling with a jammed paper shredder that can't handle the 6 sheets of paper your teenager crammed in it.
Manufacturer recommends up to 15 sheets (folded in 1/2) at one time. This little paper mangler handles that no problem.
There is no manufacturer recommended limit on uses/day like some of the machines just made for shredding paper.
We've only had it for about 2 weeks, but so far we just love it for our home office.
