My company purchased an AirFree air purifier for my office, due the number of times I was sick from allergy related illness. The entire office complex has battled with mold,termite damage, and leaky ceilings, so my battle was made more difficult by the work environment. Usually, the fall and spring seasons are the worst. I bought the filter on a Friday in February of 2004 from the Tulsa Allergy Store. I was amazed at how little the airfree canister weighed. I plugged it in a wall socket and the little green light illuminated, but the silly thing didn't make a noise.

I left it running during the first weekend in the 10'x12'office space, with the door shut. When I returned on Monday, there was a distinct lack of odor in the room. At first I thought it was just a placebo effect, but a few weeks later the receptionist mentioned that my office "smelled clean" because of the lack of odor (the other offices and hallways still smell musty).

That spring I found myself still using Visine-A eye drops for the burning in my eyes due to allergies, but didn't use my inhaler as often. This fall I have neither used my eyedrops nor my rescue inhaler. Since I don't have an air purifier at home, I wake up with a sore throat and runny nose/itchy eyes. I can actually come to work and feel better after an hour or two in my office. Due to the positive effects from this air purifier, I plan to purchase two more for my home. I highly recommend this product!
