The Pocket DV4500 is the first AIPTEK digital camcorder employing MPEG4 format to store video clips. The DV4500 is capable of recording much longer (3 times) than traditional AVI format devices. An additional advantage of MPEG4, is to keep your recorded files small while retaining video and sound in TV-quality. Being a multi-function camera, the Pocket DV4500 is an indispensable companion for you to create and enjoy movies, high-resolution photos, MP3 music, voice annotation, as well as online video conferencing. Not too bad

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: cheap, easy, efficient, expandable,

Cons: Shaky, blurry sometimes, see above!

The Bottom Line:
Its a good camera for the price!

Author's Review
If you want a cheap camera that works and will take video and plays MP3's then this is the camera for you.
It might not be the best camera out there and certainly sometimes does not take the best pictures, and if you are not moving steadily enough the video can be a little jerky, but otherwise I like my camera it is still the only one I have and I use it I would say at least every day! It has been well worth the money I paid for it! :)

PROS:
1) it takes good pictures outside and if you use a tripod the pictures are excellent (plus its a 5MP camera NOT 4MP or 2MP!)
2) it plays MP3s,
3) With lithium batteries it will last for about 500 pictures before needing to be changed, obviously if you use it for video or MP3 it uses more battery life
4) easy to use and easy to upload
5) Expandable Memory we have a 2 gig card in it and were able to take a 40 minute video and get pictures on it too!

CONS:
1) Pictures suck!! Yes I admit it there is what seems like a huge delay in pressing the button and it actually taking the picture, which can make alot of the pictures blurry or you wont catch the moment that you wanted and this is the BIGGEST problem with this camera
2) For a web cam it ONLY takes BMP pictures, now if you are like me and Computer and internet literate this is no problem I just use Irfan and change the format but if your not it makes like a little more difficult!
3) sometimes its just a little blury for what seems like no reason at all!
4) if you are not moving steadily enough video comes out a little shaky!
