Although Jeep got plenty of attention for the Rescue concept vehicle that debuted in Detroit earlier this year, no one figured anything like it would ever see a showroom floor. Recent spy photos suggest otherwise, however, as the prototypes bear the same kind of boxy, over the top styling as the concept. Built on the same platform as the new Grand Cherokee, the Commander will be slightly larger and incorporate a third row of seats. Hemi power will no doubt be part of the package along with plenty of built in off road ability. Minimize

I like it !!!

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Strong for a V6, Uconnect, Moon roof and sun roofs, adjustable pedals

Cons: 3rd row seat can lack room for some people.

The Bottom Line:
I recommend the commander its very comfortable. V6 is good for me I am impressed with its power and I know I'll save on gas.

I bought this 2006 Commander on 4/02/06. I did a trade in for my previous vehicle a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi truck V8 5.7. I've always been an 8 cyl. type of guy. The Commander is a 3.7 V6 I love it. I got it with leather seats and most of the bells and whistles. I particular like the Uconnect system it allows you to be hands free on cellular calls while driving I think its great. So far no problems what so ever. On other forums I had heard on complaints that the 3rd row seat on the commander lacks room. I think its decent to take people across town it works, its great for children, might not be to fun for tall or big people back there. I get praises on this vehicle with my friends and church members they love it and so do I. My wife loves it she can drive my car now she was somewhat intimidated by the huge Ram truck I had before she only drove the truck once or twice in the 3 yrs I had it. She has driven the Commander now 2 times in the past week. When I got it Chrysler jeep had a promo of 0% APR for 60 months and no payments for 6months. Hummer and Nissan did not have a promo like that going on and even if they had I am confident that I would have chosen the Jeep Commander everytime. I paid $34k out the door at 0% interest for 60months and no payments for 6mo. You just cant beat that. I'm a happy camper.
