Pros: Sporty look and feel. Comfortable ride. Good handling. Gas mileage. Most of all, DEPENDABLE.
Cons: Minor design flaw in the sun visor, repairable under warranty. Value depreciation.
I bought a slightly used 4-cyl. 2006 Hyundai Sonata in Dec. '06, only 6,000 miles at the time. I was attracted to it's sporty body style, interior comfort, and fuel efficiency. Commuting to work 80 miles a day round-trip, I've driven the heck out of it. At 61,000 miles, I can say I've had absolutely NO mechanical trouble. Gas mileage has held steady at about 27 mpg, city/hwy combined.
I find the ride plenty smooth and quiet enough. Acceleration is fine for a 4-cyl.
Only a couple, very minor annoyances I have: 1. When gas tank is full, makes a strange sloshing noise, which I first mistook for some mechanical problem. 2. Driver's sun visors got loose with usage, and now will not stay in the up position. VERY annoying, but a friend had the same problem and hers was fixed under warranty...apparently a design flaw.
