The 2005 MINI Cooper is a 2-door, 4-passenger family coupe, sports coupe, convertible, or convertible sports car, available in 4 trims, ranging from the Base to the S Convertible. Upon introduction, the Base is equipped with a standard 1.6-liter, I4, 115-horsepower engine that achieves 28-mpg in the city and 36-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a variable speed automatic transmission is optional. The S Convertible is equipped with a standard 1.6-liter, I4, 168-horsepower, supercharged engine that achieves 25-mpg in the city and 32-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard. A variable speed automatic transmission is optional. The Base has been freshened for 2005. The S Convertible is all-new for 2005.

Pros: Fun, sporty, and fuel efficient
Cons: Small and not very cheap
This car is sure to grab everyone's attention! Not only is nice on the eyes, it's nice on the wallet as well. Sure it's price tag may not seem too thrifty, but it's amazing fuel efficiency will more than pay for itself in the years to come. It's fun to drive, and is a great conversation piece.
