The rear-wheel drive G35 is powered by an advanced, 260-horsepower V6 engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. The G35’s performance is enhanced by a 4-wheel independent suspension with lightweight aluminum components and highly aerodynamic styling – including a coefficient of drag of just 0.27 and zero degrees of front lift. The G35 is positioned to compete against current popular sport sedans such as the BMW 3-series, Lexus IS300 and recently redesigned Audi A4 3.0.

The Bottom Line:
A great car packed with performance and value for a great price.
The G35 sport coupe is one of the best sport coupe on the market. A long time fan of the coupe since its introduction in 2003. The car is gorgeous from bumper to bumper, with edgy yet flowing body lines. All G35 coupes are equipped with the Nissan 3.5 Liter Six pushing out 280 Horse Power and 270 Torque. It can be purchased with either a standard 5 speed automatic with manual shift, or an optional 6MT. I test drove a G35 Coupe today for the very first time, and immediately fell in love. My first impressions driving the G35 is that the car feels solid and predictable. When sitting in the cockpit you have complete control of the car.
General:
The G35 can be purchased with for about $29000 with plenty of standard equipment to make the average Joe happy, but for around $32000-35000 it comes loaded with luxuries such as Navigation, Aero Kit, Premium 18 inch wheels, Brembo Brakes, and 200 watt Bose stereo to satisfy any one.
Performance:
The G35 can match the performance with the best cars on the road. The throttle is instant and tight, launching the car 0-60 in about 5.6 Seconds in the 6speed. Power is potent all the way to 6th gear, and plenty of torque to jump off the line. The 6speed transmission is great. Shifts are smooth and short. The car handles like a charm thanks to the almost 50/50 weight distribution.
Interior:
The G35 I test drove today came loaded with Navigation (Highly Recommended), Black Leather, and the usual luxury options such as climate control and Power window/Locks. The DVD based Navigation screen gives a 3D Birds Eye view of the map, which is awsome when driving in an unfamiliar area. The Screen sits in the middle of the dash, which other wise made for a storage compartment. Everything in the interior is made with high quality material and fit together nicely by Infiniti. Controls on the dash are easily read and easy to operate. Brush aluminum on the Dash and doors gives the car an expensive and sporty feel. Overall the interior matched up to the Infiniti name.
My first test drive of the G35 Coupe was a great experience. I realized that The G35 is not a car that you can truly appreciate just by reading about it, but you appreciate it even more after you drive it. I am looking to purchase a G35 coupe at the end of the summer, and I highly recommend it to anyone who are in the market for a high performance/luxury sports coupe.
