Is your performance module causing transmission shudder and clutch slippage? Probably is... Prevent torque converter shudder and clutch slippage on the 2005-2007 Dodge 5.9L with 48RE transmissions by installing the BD 48RE Pressure Controller. Easily plugs inline with factory sealed connectors to the 48RE TTVA motor on the driver’s side of the transmission making for a clean installation. Like its predecessors (47RH/47RE) the 48RE transmission’s low mainline pressure at lighter throttle pedal position can cause shudder and slippage. When coupled behind the Common Rail 5.9L Diesel engine with its peak torque at mid-range RPM’s this potential shudder and slippage can be amplified. When engaged with the rotary switch mounted on the dash the Pressure Controller has three different levels that can be selected to increase mainline pressure by mimicking higher throttle positions preventing mid-range convertor shutter and clutch/band slippage. The Pressure Controller is designed to almost eliminate all shuttle shifting with light throttle and as an added feature this unit slightly holds or delays shifting to prevent lugging and improve transmission function – reduces shift flare and gear hunting. The Pressure Controller ‘s pressure increase is at its greatest during light throttle positions and ramps towards stock pressures as the pedal gets closer to full throttle when the extra pressure is no longer needed. With performance modules for the 5.9L Diesel engine the increase in horsepower tends to make the driver apply less throttle to obtain desired vehicle speeds. In turn the less APPS Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor applied causes lower mainline transmission pressures to be developed causing potential shudder and slippage. The Pressure Controller compensates for lower APPS and brings the pressure up to a level to protect the transmission and converter. Compared to some of the competition on the market the BD 48RE Pressure Controller has higher pressure more elaborate control and easy factory plug-in installation. 2003-2005 Dodge 5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel What is the Diablosport Predator? The Predator is a state-of-the art high performance tuning flash programmer in a sleek handheld design. Once connected to the vehicle the Predators internal computer recognizes the vehicles PCM and automatically picks the proper tuning files designed specifically for that PCM. The transmission parameters are remapped to improve the shift characteristics such as shift firmness and shift points. Unlike other 'tuners' DiabloSport's programming is performed in very small increments throughout the entire RPM range for a smoother wider and a more predictable power delivery. Descending grades with trailers can be hazardous and tricky situations resulting in over heated service and trailer brakes that leads to brake fade excessive wear and costly unwarranted repairs. BD Engine brake has been the industries time proven VARIABLE REGULATING BACK-PRESSURE EXHAUST BRAKE. Controlled by a lighted On/Off toggle switch or optional stick-mounted rocker switch for manual transmissions the BD brake communicates with the engine’s electronic idle verification board for quick engagement. How it works: Using BD’s exclusive Variable butterfly Technology providing peak retarding power throughout the engine’s rpm range unlike some models that rely on a hole/orifice within the butterfly to calibrate back-pressure only in the higher engine RPM . Where it mounts: Most vehicle applications will either have BD’s turbo-mount design which bolts in place of the factory elbow between the turbo and the exhaust system or the inline design mounts in the exhaust system between the engine and muffler/DPF/cat. For modified Turbo and engine applications: Got a modified or twin-turbo application? BD offers a remote mount exhaust brake that incorporates all of our standard technology found in our turbo mount units in a 4” free flowing design that won’t impede the exhaust flow and performance enhancements you worked so hard to achieve. The durable air compressor included in later model kits can even be used for other applications such as air horns air bags even air-ride fifth wheel hitches —it’s that tough. Automatic-equipped trucks prior to 2006 require BD’s programmable AutoLoc and PressureLoc kits to electronically control torque converter clutch engagement. This addition effectively reduces slippage resulting in peak retarding performance as well as lower transmission temperatures. * Automatic Transmissions – For best retarding results use a TowLoc AutoLoc or TorqLoc * All BD Brake kits come complete with the brake air compressor (where applicable) mounting hardware port to monitor the brake’s retarding performance complete instructions and most models come with EGT port.

The stock intake manifold on the Cummins 5.9L engine acts as a restrictor plate does on a NASCAR engine. A restrictor plate reduces the amount of air that can enter the engine limiting the overall power output. The ATS Arc-Flow intake manifold allows the air to expand at a rate that does not create turbulence as it is fed into the cylinder head. As the incoming air opens into a larger expansion area the air will tumble if expanded to quickly. The Arc-Flow intake is specially engineered to allow for maximum expansion of only 7 degrees providing a perfectly controlled expansion of air-flow into the cylinder head. The Arc-Flow also comes pre-taped for perfect distribution of water injection. When looking for economy towing or performance the Arc-Flow is the best add on that can be easily bolted to any Cummins 5.9L Diesel. - Lowers Exhaust Gas Temperatures - Better throttle response - Superior Arc-flow design increases intake efficiency and air velocity over that of a stock intake manifold with much greater internal cross section. (see image - right) - Ideal when upgrading your turbo. - Shrouded back side of intake is pre-tapped for easy and clean gauge installation and other auxiliary inputs. - Will not void warranty. - Pre-tapped for water injection directly above the intake plenum. anifold. Dyno results show that the ATS Arc-flow's average gain is over 10 Horsepower and 21 lb/ft of Torque.

Descending grades with trailers can be hazardous and tricky situations resulting in over heated service and trailer brakes that leads to brake fade excessive wear and costly unwarranted repairs. BD Engine brake has been the industries time proven VARIABLE REGULATING BACK-PRESSURE EXHAUST BRAKE. Controlled by a lighted On/Off toggle switch or optional stick-mounted rocker switch for manual transmissions the BD brake communicates with the engine’s electronic idle verification board for quick engagement. How it works: Using BD’s exclusive Variable butterfly Technology providing peak retarding power throughout the engine’s rpm range unlike some models that rely on a hole/orifice within the butterfly to calibrate back-pressure only in the higher engine RPM . Where it mounts: Most vehicle applications will either have BD’s turbo-mount design which bolts in place of the factory elbow between the turbo and the exhaust system or the inline design mounts in the exhaust system between the engine and muffler/DPF/cat. For modified Turbo and engine applications: Got a modified or twin-turbo application? BD offers a remote mount exhaust brake that incorporates all of our standard technology found in our turbo mount units in a 4” free flowing design that won’t impede the exhaust flow and performance enhancements you worked so hard to achieve. The advantage to regulating the butterfly vs. other brands is: The Butterfly is constantly exercising thus reducing the possibility of carbon and rust deposit forming that can cause premature ware and binding. Furthermore no maintenance or lubricating is required providing miles of trouble free service. The BD Brake’s rugged cast-iron housing incorporates BD’s exclusive AlumiBronze bushing and positive sealing piston ring no blind holes for carbon and rust to form and miles of leak free retarding. Stainless steel butterfly shaft that has proven to stand up under the harsh high-heat conditions of the exhaust environment the offset butterfly valve won’t stick and has been strategically placed in the elbow so that it won’t impede exhaust flow when in the open position. Brake valve is actuated by an air cylinder (newer models) or a powerful three-inch vacuum cylinder (earlier models). The durable air compressor included in later model kits can even be used for other applications such as air horns air bags even air-ride fifth wheel hitches —it’s that tough. Automatic-equipped trucks prior to 2006 require BD’s programmable AutoLoc and PressureLoc kits to electronically control torque converter clutch engagement. This addition effectively reduces slippage resulting in peak retarding performance as well as lower transmission temperatures. All BD Brake kits come complete with the brake air compressor (where applicable) mounting hardware port to monitor the brake’s retarding performance complete instructions and most models come with EGT port. Both the map sensor and the fuel pressure sensor are fully programmable. By reprogramming the map sensor signal you achieve several things… 1) since the map senor thinks it is at different boost level it will add injection timing accordingly. 2) This is the primary reason we don’t have to raise rail pressure beyond factory specs and risk damaging engines. Question: Is the MP-8 a timing box?Answer: No it is not however with the ability to reprogram the map sensor we can add injection timing to fit the consumers application. Question: Can the MP-8 be stacked with other Modules? Answer: Yes it can be. Make sure the box you are attempting to stack has different functions.( Such as TST etc.) I would also recommend contacting TS Performance before attempting this.
